IMO, get a converted 16v xsi, there's alot of them knocking about in the right place, I think that's what I'll be looking at next.

If you want a day to day car..

nout wrog with a gti

then again depends where you live..

I live in wales, where the twisty roads are plenty and its more of a pleasure to drive than the cupra, but when I got rid of the cupra I was on motorways and long roads, and thats where the cupra shone..

The xsi conversions will be quicker, but id take a normal gti anyday..

alot less hassle

I thought id really miss the cupra, but to be honest the 106 is so clean and alot of fun its made up for it

People give them alot of stick but tbh, if those people actually went in one i think they would change their opinion, id have one any day of the week.

I had a vts after the corsa and I was amazed, but this seems soo much better than the vts in every way..

It seems to handle alot better, Odd I know but it does

Cracking wee car mate, the wife had one in that colour a few years back

They handle better than the VTS due to the gti coming with thicker ARBs as standard than the VTS

The wife had a VTS as well and it handled shit compared to mine and her old GTIs

Powdercoated black wheels would look great in keeping with the red/black theme

Fuck knows why everyone slates the 106 as much as they do, its a cheap and cheerful little car.

Kirstys 1.1 is brilliant, does the job for town driving and we do any long distance in mine.

Fair point..
