match has finished 2 - 1 to villa.
and for all the money that spurs sent they are totally shit. didnt deserve to get any points from the first four games. whoever said spurs would be challenging for top four places are sooooooooooo wrong!

They were a bit more than half decent, they were the best players in the Spurs squad by a long stretch

They are, but 2 seasons ago you would have probably said the same of Spurs, and even Newcastle!

@ exactly the same start as last season. I don't think they would be that silly to get rid of ramos for a long while yet, unless levy has been spending time with mike ashley

if we get rid of ramos then i'll definitely stop supporting them.
I'm starting to worry that we'll do something stupid and sack ramos and get curbishley in, maybe its just me being to paranoid

Indeed!
Better than Spurs so 1-2 doesn't come as a shock to me.
Sacking Ramos would be stupid. Give the man time. He won them the Carling Cup only 7 months ago!

Very good result for us I thought we'd lose this one
We dominated the majority of the first half and could have been 2-3 goals up. Spurs weakness was their midfield. Petrov, Barry and NRC had a field day in the center whilst Ashley Young caused problems down the wing
Last 10 minutes were horrible after what last season ... and it didnt help when Harewood missed that sitter and Spurs getting a lucky goal back.
IMO Spurs need to get one or two central midfielders who will dominate that area, win balls and control the play. Otherwise they will struggle to build up attacks and stop teams over powering their midfield.
Most pundits, commentators and supporters are still underestimating us which is a good thing imo. We had a paper thin squad last season and finished well (6th). This season we have strengthened in the nets, in defence and in midfield.
Should be a very interesting season for us. We're just lacking another striker to challenge/cover Gabby and Carew. If we can get someone in with the ability of Defoe, RSC, Ashton then I think we could challenge 4th spot

Petrov was MON's first signing back two seasons ago and looked the part when he played his first game against WHU. After that he was well below average for 70-80% of the games he played in.
MON didnt help the situation as he kept picking Petrov even though he was having a mare for the club. It was well known that Petrov was struggling to settle down and getting used to the pace of the premiership.
Petrov started to show signs of his true potential towards the backend of last season.. around the time he scored that volley in our 6-0 win against Derby
He then looked average again in our summer preseason games and many thought that Sidwell would be replacing him.
However, Petrov has arguably been our best and most consistent player this season. He would have had my MoTM last night but he was tiring towards the last 20mins of the game.
Petrov is currently playing his best football at the moment
