So yeah, how do I go about making an image (well 2 images) half transparent, so I guess you could say translucent, so that I can combine the 2 to create a ghosty type affect?
I have Photoshop Elements 4.0
These are the pictures in question.

Lower the opacity on one of the images.

Which tool do I use to do that?

Should be on the right hand side if its like any other photoshop, where it shows the layers. If its not there, click the 'window' tab up top and make sure 'layers' is ticked.

All it has is Effects, Filters, Layer Styles.
Opacity isn't under any of them

When the layers box is open, you can change the opacity from there, well you can on cs3 anyway

where you have your box that shows your layers, should be an option there. If you dont have layers box go to 'window' at the top and just click on 'layers'
