i need to insert a few different contact numbers into a spreadsheet but everytime I try to start the area code, the starting zero disappears. How do I format the cells to allow me to make this work?

ie. '01234 265852

or right click format cells>custom>click the 0>then in type add 11 zeros

That's an apostrophe. A hyphen is next to zero -
You can also put a space in there and it won't format it as a number.
