I reckon around the £18K mark for a goodish spec; unless you can screw a little more out of them

Totally agree... The stupid faults that we are dealing with now and the frequency i see them is unbelivable. The cars in quality have gone vastly downhill in the past few years, and as Jr says its down to cost cutting.

P.s its rumoured there wont be an R32 Mk6 or any 6 cyl Mk6.. . There will just be an 'R' model - 265PS 4 motion.. S3 style..

I've printed this off for my sister to read, she won't have a bad word said about her VW's even though the last couple she has had have been dogshite.

I dont know if I like the DSG box or not. I've only had a half hour go in an A3 with one.

Just little things that annoy me about it like it changing up a gear when it wants to rather than when I want to. Not ideal when going round a corner!

You probably get used to it after a longer time than half an hour with it.

I have sent an email to my VW contact asking about this....If it is substantiated, we will be hammering its future value quickly.

Update - Jades cousin got it wrong with the 16k, but right with the 25% off, however 25% off was off the originalk rrp not the current price so original std spec R32 @25k becomes 18.7k................too much for my to consider spending, almost 19k, if it was 16 it would have been a different story!! Ah well if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!!

Nope thats it ended! 19k is too much!! I was excited at 16k but 3k extra bursts my bubble!!

It would be a good deal if this was 2006, but the mk6 comes out in 3 months & its going to be an old model!

I think Fad means the saga of you finding a new exciting car

19k is still a bargain, but expecting it to be 16k and it's not has kind of ruined the cheapness of it

as mentioned earlier i buy one purely for the noise they make

they handle quite well although i guess the depreciation will be quite heavy due to the new model
