I personally would say L200. Every man and his mate has defender's and with the right mod's yeah there are awesome BUT so are L2's.
I have pulled plenty of these out and some in places that arent difficult to go over.
Your call really - L200's are slightly more expensive to buy and modify but defender's are cheap and nasty and very thin.

most of my mates who offroad all use swb pajeros and they are very tough and take all kinds of stick. one of them bought a v8 disco and took it up to drum clogg in Scotland it it managed less than 4 miles before the front half shaft broke and the rear diff blew to shit. are they all that soft or did he just get a shit one.

THAT is more like it! (taylor2008)
Makes me laugh all these people with a "4x4" think they can just go straight off-roading.
to the OP, do you know where the Phrase: "One Life - Live it" comes from?

And I'm sure you have a wealth of info on off roading

Not one bit but at least I'm admitting it. I wouldn't take any 4x4 off road without an reading up on it first.

im soon to be upgradeing my half shafts and diffs,cv in mine.. the shafts in them are basicly the same to be honest. its more to do with how you drive, drive like a complete c--nt thinking its a fast car... there not going to last at all.. ive had my shafts ect for over 2 years now. and i dont do light offroading with it eitha.
