tbh I'm really quite pleased with how they came out. I've come from a basic Canon IXUS digicam, so I think some of these look fantastic, but can understand their flawed. Also, I like how in each of the 'basic' modes on the 450D, you just set it, point & shoot, focus, and they look good.
It's going to take plenty of time to work out how to get good results from all the 'manual' modes and start working the camera, but anyway, here are some of my favourites.
This was just in the close up mode. I did the focus manually though.
Completely auto.
No idea how I achieved these two
Believe it or not, this is through glass.
Auto mode - flash and tungsten light.
Portrait mode.
This is in a manual mode - I adjusted the red dots to choose which to focus and which to not.
Close up of Pa
I want to be like Mike B.
Completely dark room on auto mode.
Can't remember what I was doing with this one
This is my Fotki account for more pics - http://public.fotki.com/deano87/
I can't stress enough how easy the EOS 450D is to use - and being a complete amateur, the results in Auto modes are really quite good. I can't wait to get to learn how to use it properly - think it'll end up waiting till I finish Uni though seems like it could get highly addictive.

Dad did it reads something like "Riding a Banshee is more fun than looking at this picture" (Banshee is a Canadian freeride bike manufacturer!).
