easy to do. may need to put a slight radius in the rod caps....only want a slight touch or maybe none at all.

why are arp bolts needed? do they hold the con rods?
and could you heat treat standard ones?

I think you can get countersunk washer from their website so no drilling required.

Because with a raised rev limit or just driving at high revs the standard bolts have a tendency to vibrate loose or snap, then putting a rod through your block.

john - if got a 12/14mm drill all you have to do is touch on the cap slightly.


you can take a cap off at a time, countersink and check by just putting a bolt in making sure it sits flat with cap.

The bottom of the head of the bolt isn't flat, it is curved to make the bolt stronger so the cap has to be countersunk so the bolt sits flush.
