ive been told by a few people that you and have to slighty contersink the caps where the bolts go through. is this true as ive put mine in without doing this. it seems strange to me that they need countersinking as they sit perfectly flush with the cap.
any help appreciated

if there fluch then no problems. ive done a few xes with stock rods that i havent had to countersink the caps before. its only if they sit proud of the cap face that you need to put a small chamfer on the cap

entirely up to you, if you'd feel better doing it. but you should be able to tell if sitting proud or not tbh.
