i took my mudflaps off my pre 97 rear bumper and they dont seen 2 fit on gsi bumper can u buy the mud flaps for the gsi rear bumper any ideas?

gsi rear bumper is the same as a pre-97 rear bumper.

yes indeedy they aint the same shape bumpers tho at the bottom

Your moonland bumper was post 97, gsi bumper is pre 97

thats because your moonland bumper is a post-97. they wont fit. i think i have some pre-97 in the garage. could dig them out if your interested?

ive got the same problem mate bought the mudflafs they wont fit mt pre 97 bumper.think i might cut my old flaps up n bond them together

They do fit and i'll prove it..........




Coz i did it. Not easy but they will fit.

Those are the correct mudflaps for that bumper Iain.

If you get the wrong ones they don't go near. The mounting screw towards the rear of the car is countersunk by around 8mm on the later bumper so you introduce the same gap on the bottom of the flap when you fit it to a pre-97.

I can only assume the parts were listed incorrectly. There are definitely two types and they are definitely not compatible.

It will bodge but you need to cut a large amount of the rear of the flap away and it'll still look wrong. My Opel ones on the GSi have this problem but they cost £18 and can't be refunded because they were special order so I bodged it. Wasn't really so happy with the outcome though.

thanks peeps for ya help yeah i was thinking abt trying 2 make them fit but i mite aswell buy the rite ones job done then
