After a little race with a mate we stopped for food at sainsurys and i noticed a bit of steam rising from the front drivers light area. After further inspection theres coolant sprayed over the right lower arm/block/sump and there seems to be a wire to a sensor which im guessing is the coolant temp sensor
Could it be the seal on this leaking or something else around that area?
Any help or suggestions would be usefull.
Thanks

i'd check your hoses buddy, they will leak worst when they are under the highest pressure/temperature
check for any stains around or underneeth the hoses where coolant may have been seeping for a while. failing that, let it run hot enuf till the fan cuts in with the bonnet up and watch for any drips or anything
i reckon its one of your coolant hoses

Heh no leaking from anywhere else just a big spray that has soaked one area if that makes sense in a none dodgey way. i know the hoses corrode after a few years but i think where it is situated (very low down on the back of the block) i doubt its hoses. Guess im just gunna have to take it into a garage tomoz and hope for the best.....
Where abouts on the x16xe is the coolant temp sensor situated?
Thanks for your help will94

I wish is was some of those things...... £285 and its sorted. Water pumped was f00ked, by the time i got it to the garage it was pissing out. New cambelt and water pump done, car went in and had it back 3 hours later.
Luckily i knew the blokes so they 'Squeezed' it in lol.
But still, not what i wanted before christmas
