Its a red corsa sri, with c20xe fitted. Still has all the sri and 1.4 badges on it. Its lowered on apex springs, has astra gte 14" alloys sprayed matt black with brand new toyo tyres on. These hide the 2ltr front brakes quite well to work with the sleeper look.
Its done approx 91k. it shows 90K but the milage counter stopped working as it rolled round to 90k mark, ive only done 7 miles in the last 3 months according to the dash.
The engine is the later dis-pack type from a calibra, has done approx 105k but have no proof of this. It is quite tappy from the top end but it has good oil pressure. The pressure releif valve was removed and cleaned up (wasnt stuck anyway) but it hasnt stopped the tapping. Its currently got quite thin oil in it so would probably be quieter with thicker oil. Older engine should have slightly thicker oil anyway but this is all i had to hand. Theres no smoke on startup, on idle or when driving. It pulls well through the revs. Its mated from a standard xe manifold from a flexi join, to a full sportex straight through exhaust system. Has a 3" outrolled tip. Nice rumble on idle and opens up nice .
When putting the engine in i filled the rubber engine mounts with silicone to stiffen them up so the engine doesnt move around too much. I believe, because of this the car car feel like is vibrating when sitting on idle in traffic etc. Its fine once moving and not noticed. I have checked to make sure its not hitting the chassis anywhere but cannot see where it might be touching.
The paintwork is ok for the age, however in certain light you can see a difference in paint where the rear 1/4s have been painted. There are a couple of bits of rust bubbling. One behind the front arch plastic, and one at the bottom of the spoiler on the boot. The chassis leg had rusted but has now been repaired, plated up and then undersealed.
Tax is up this month, will be putting 6 months back on it, also has MOT for about another 6 months
I gave it a quick jetwash today at lunch, sorry about the picture quality i couldnt get good pics because of the low sun.
And yes it does come with the air horn
