Imagine that today, with more modern technology, considering a 2.4 litre v8 can produce ~800bhp, without a turbo or two, I reckon you'd be looking at 3000bhp in an F1 car if they were allowed to run free again, if not more.
the power from the 2.4 v8s is very impressive considered they are rev limited to 19000 rpm, and also the engine freeze. Would be great to see what they could come up today without all the restrictions.
