Don't think too many people will care.
But another manager gone. I'm not a Derby fan, but he seemed to be doing OK there, he always said it'd take a few years to turn it around after last season.
Shame, he seemed a nice guy too

Shame on Derby, they made the biggest mistake sacking davies
He bottled it at wigan but i doubt they care now, 7th in the league with a bigger manager attracting bigger players

Derby got promoted far to early, I watched them the season they went up and they were dreadful, got lucky in the play offs and low and behold they won 1 game all season.

Rio Verde for Derby boss. Kenny Miller as his side kick.

Davies did go far too early an it sounds as if Jewell has ran out of ideas, got the team in a better state lately, but still needs plenty of work....

You can't do much worse than you are already doing, he's a proven manager in the premiership, something your very unlikely to get from anyone else

Davies was a cunt and had too many ideas of taking over the world rather than running our club!
Jewell has hung on this long by being a "nice guy" but 7 wins in 50 doesn't cut it! This is 'his side' that we are playing with now and they are garbage!

Nigel Clough looks like the favourite to take the Derby job now

Jewell was useless IMO. Spent a bit of cash, did a shocking job last season, and this season hasn't been much better really. Deserved to go, fair play for resigning though save the club a few quid.

I think he'd be mad to take the job personally, I don't think he's got enough experience to take on such a failing team! Burton Albion are doing really well anyway, I'd personally stick with them, as it looks like their going to enter the football league if they keep their current form up anyway.

I don't think Clough will leave personally, been at Burton years and the best chance of him getting them into the league. Nice little set up for league 2 there, although they aren't full time so that might be a problem for the club in regards to making the transition?

Clough should stay put if he has any sense, who ever takes over has a thankless task if 2008 is anything to go by. I trust the board to make the right appointment though, our chairman seems like he's got more than half a brain
