Usually yeah. They'll just tell you to turn it off on take off and landing.

Yeah it's fine. As AJ said, when taking off and landing you have to turn it off.

yes u can get itnernet, they ahve the stuff onboard some of the planes, will be similar technology used to make mobiles work on planes

You can use your laptop, (I fly at least once a week with work) but you have to turn wireless cards off.

Some planes have internet but it costs a fortune.

Also if you can get a car charger for your laptop as the ones with power supply are often this to make it universal for what ever country.
