Does anyone have one?
Been looking into one, so i can put in £20 a week and whatever i can afford extra. Which is the best to go for.
Also can you set up a direct debit from my normal account on a weekly basis?

i got a savings account with hsbc, different banks offer different things and what not, you can set up a direct debit so it takes the money out for whichever date you set it to be...
hope that helps a little!

What offers did you get. Also is it worth going to the same bank as your current account, or go to a different one?

They differ, Regular Savings Accounts usually need a regular amount depositing a month, Instant Saver Accounts are tax free and you can put in whatever you want when you want up to a maximum of £3600 in a financial year.
So up until April 4th/5th you could set up an ISA and deposit 3600 then after that date put in another 3600

At the minute with the bank base rates so low there are some pitiful offers around, go to moneysavingexpert and check out their 'league tables', theres also lots of information on there with none of the jargon

I've got a high interest savings account with Halifax.
Also got an ISA and transfer from savings to this when the time comes around. Can do it all online.
Interest rates are crap at the moment, was up to 5% at one point. My once 6% ISA is now 2%! Current account is currently at 0.1%
