so basicly the bottom pulley for the belt that turns the alternator came loose, this is because the little blob of metal that hold that pulley aligned snapped off allowing it to spin off, the engine was really rattly and back fired when i caome to start it, but it would start!! next mornin i try startin it to move it off main road and it fails to start, and turns over effortlessly as though there's no compression!!! help please lol
cheers

Need to take the bottom pulley off and have a look at the timing belt pulley behind it. Check that the key is still in it that locks it to the crank and that the belt is still on and timed up right.

After that theres a chance you have bent the valves because the timing has slipped or the belt has come off
