Another problem with my girlfriends ka,
When driving it sort of missfire but really quite violently it feels as if someone is tapping the brake hard sort of, and each time it does it the temperature light flashes on then back off and the LED in the clock flashes a couple of times then goes off?
Any ideas,
Its just had new plugs, leads, coilpack and headgasket .

is it timed up right??
sounds a bit violent to be a misfire, sounds like a dead valve. and or preignition,

The timing is fixed on them isn't it, it was fine for ages now its just started doing it on the way home tonight, it has also started tapping quite loudly recently (like tappets but they have only just been set).
Like you say it feels way to violent to be a missfire.

if its tapping more then the rockers need to be checked again

I checked them and they seem fine, its not mega loud but not great.
