just to replace the rears?

who makes them? what sort of money am i talking for fully adjustable height/damping ones?

at the min i've got a spax rsx kit. (dampers + springs)

Let's start by asking what you call proper coilovers? 1 unit I assume? If so, you will have to start welding turrets in.

avo do the rear coilovers (not shock and spring) and you dont need to weld a turret in etc as said above

pagey has them on his corsa let to give you some idea...

gaz do them aswell.

rear turrets are an OPTION and are NOT needed IMO

only problems with avo's are theyre pretty weak. most people i know that have them or have had them, have had to send them away for a re-con. front driverside one on mine is dead and needs re-con'd. im going to go for gaz next as i know a few people to amatuer rallying and use them. say theyre great.

when you say they need a recon how do you know? cos i have started gettin a knoking noise from the front and im sure its the shocks! there cheepo coilovers i fink.. and oh yeh rear coilovers are quite thick so watch out what wheels you are putting on or u will need spacers to stop the tyres rubbing on the springs

mine started knocking, took it off to find the seal had gone and was pissing its oil out. thats re-con time.

How much is a re-con nic? ive got one brand new one and the other 3 have lost some oil, you can feel it when you move the damper.

Not sure if its worth selling them as they are or having them rebuilt

ive got spax rsx on the front with 300lb springs and will have the avos on the rear

i cant remember. i rang up not long ago as i want to send my 2 front ones away.

thanks for the replies chaps, so i'm looking at avo or gaz...

i'll get on the case as need my car fully adjustable height and have very little travel at the rear.
