IP address should be gained by DHCP.
You could try by whacking one in there anyway.
On a computer connected to the network, go to start, run and type in cmd and press enter. Then type in ipconfig and tell me what the "Gateway IP Address" is.
Normally start 192.168.something.something.
I'll sort you out an IP address to put in the PS3 then

Okies
On the PS3 try both of these addresses, if one doesnt work try the other
192.168.0.67
and
192.168.0.1
IF IT ASKS YOU
subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

Surely you can just set it to automatic scan instead of manual, and all it'll ask for is the WPA code for the network?
Instead of fannying around doing all this?
