I had 8k and hated them, swaped to 6k and still hated them so swaped for 4.3k in the space of a month over 2 years ago

Strange I've never seen 6000k described as almost blue, it's a bright white as far as I'm concerned! I thought 4300 and 6000 are pretty similar. My mate has 8000k and that's definetly blue!

That's the one

My mate has them in his Corsa C in Projector Headlights, his are a much better beam, in my Fiesta the beam is very scattered.

i had 8k where very blue, 6k imo have a blueish tint but i suppose it depends on the manufaturer, i wouldnt mind 6k but id ratrher the 4300k, perfect

Normal projector headlights aren't legal either, they're still designed for normal bulbs.

On a car from the factory, yes. Not on an aftermarket kit.

It has to be a unit designed for HID's.

ill tell you again, there no diffrent, ive striped apart my lenses and the lence of a hid equiped vectra, no diffrent

They may very well not be but it has to be a light unit designed for hids, it's specified the same place as the self levelling and the washers.

I've never stripped down a hid and non hid one, the corsa one isn't designed for hids though.

Do you know the lenses are exactly the same(i'm not saying they're not, I don't know, just curious)

yes, there exactly the same, and yes ive striped both, mine "none hid" and some off a hid equiped vectra gsi, the glass lence is the same thickness and the dazzle gard are in the same place, they just dont have an auto level system or headlamp washers

Have 8k bulbs in mine and to be honest yes they have a blue tint but not pull you over type blue !!

anyone else have 8k bulbs think that they are not really overlly blue coloured as some folk make out ??

Just DIY Smoked my headlights, and ordered some 6000k's - Didn't want to go 4300 as havent really seen any in the flesh - 6000 is the most popular for road use etc and so went for those.

Got the ones coming that cover both Main and Dipped beam, so should be worth having!
