Author enigne temp hit 110C last night and coolant boiled

in a traffic jam in a tunnel last night the above mentioned happened. 3.5 litres of coolant boiled off and i've burntall my arm

i dont think my fan kicked in at all, whats the most likely cuase of this?

Is it to do with the thermostat?

in the rad on the drivers side. there will be a 2 pin plug on it.

No, that is the main reason for a head gasket going unfortunately, as it got so hot and probably warped etc.

The car shouldn't just boil over, so would indicate the fan didn't kick in.

me being the idiot i am, forgot to plug the rad connector back in when a fitted my 4-2-1!
