Anyone used one of these online things to unlock your phone before? I may need to get mine done and just wondered if these things actually worked.

Depends what phone but 've used the ones that generate unlock codes, don't know why not to trust them

ask on here for the unlocking code, i did once some 1 give me it and it worked

iv use it once on a nokia a few times and that worked. but one time it didnt

Cheers guys, I found this website that does it for free but my network isn't in the list
It's just because I was thinking of getting a Vodafone SIM only contract, but my phone is on 3.

3 phones are normally different and difficult to unlock.
I'd try your local friendly phone shop though, they'll normally be able to do it anyway.

used to this alot with nokias for people, so would help if you listed what phone you have really, newer nokias i.e. n95 etc are as far as i know not as easy to unlock.

bb5 Nokias (n-series, e-series) need to be unlocked via cable

Can you unlock old contract phones for ohter networks I was told they are locked to the original network. Its on old sony ericson is it makes any difference

It's on 3 mate. Dunno whether to get it unlocked or not at the mo, it needs a new cover first as it keeps trying to fall off
