so, does anybody know by looking at the pics the damage would be an M.O.T fail or even a writeoff? ?

On the way to trax I hit a rabbit at about 50mph, still had part of it on my lower gril and blood splatters underneath the car as I arrived at trax

you know some people on here actually make me feel sick, do you have so little respect for a living thing that you didnt even have the common decency to tell your next door neighbours you had hit there cat, which was probally like a family member to them.
it actually depresses me to know that someone could hit my cat kill it not give a crap at all and throw it over my back wall, i hope karma really does exsist as half the time its the only thing that keeps me from hating the entire world.

I wouldn't swerve to avoid an animal, certainly not on a thin country lane.

I agree, its pathetic that you ran over someones cat and couldn't tell them, tbh I hope someone runs you over.

I;ve had enough rabbits on the Releif Road in my time.
Plus I'd want to have the sill pulled out before I cover that damage up.

Thing is, you try to avoid an animal, and it can often end off worse! Most of the time it is on a country road, where you are goin pretty quick so if you rapidly adjust...you are going to have a serious accident.
You dont have to tell anyone about running a cat down by law, and tbh, i wouldnt let them go out in the first place. Still, with it being the neighbours...would possibly have told them, as there is nothing you can do about these things!

Insurance would proberbly cat D write that off tbh.
However it is a easy fix. Proberbly easier to just put on a set of side skirts.

DONT JUST COVER IT UP.
Take it to an accident bodyshop and ask them to pull it out on a jig. Won't cost much.
Then cover it up

As a few have said get it assessed by a bodyshop. Covering up won't solve the problem if theres anymore damage.
Talking of road kill, i hit a badger at 70ish in my vts. That wasn't fun at all!

i wouldn't feel too bad about it mate, its always a split second decision so you haven't really got much time to think about the consequences etc
theres always the risk of damage either though swerving and hitting something, or having the animal hit your car, its just a toss up between which object is the softest to hit

Exactly
My brother had to dodge a deer on the A3, as fast motorway speed. Ended up upside at the bottom of a 15 foot slope. Either way it was going to cause damage, but the ditch probably caused more.

So you would HAPPILY write off your own car that you've possibly spent thousands of pounds on, it's something you need to get about and all for the sake of a fucking bunny rabbit?
Not to mention the fact that you yourself could be killed in the crash. I mean come to grips mate, if it's either you or a wild animal (most likely vermin - as in there are too many of them about in the first place) you're taking the thing out. You don't enjoy it but if it's necessary then it gets done.
You're talking like you're full of glue mate.

Stick a new sill on. Most bodyshops should be able to do that. Wont cost alot either.
Next time, dont swerve
