P.s. As it's offshore there is no tax on the interest but you should declare it as taxable income by way of a personal tax return!

That's what i'm not 100% sure about.
It used to be 75% protected for offshore accounts but I have a feeling that it might be 100% now.
At the end of the day it is HBOS which is unlikely to go under, although you never really know.

Well the institution itself is UK Based (It's HBOS).
The accounts are held in the Isle of Man and i'm not 100% sure on the regulations.

That's a shame. I have £500 in an appalling interest rate ISA with National Savings & Investments which I could put in there but won't be putting in £100/month.
