How can I make my IP address appear to come from within the USA?

For no illegal purposes may I add.

I've tried proxies before and not found one that works yet.

Ok, i'll explain.

There is an internet radio station I want to listen to but if i'm outside the USA it wont let me listen anymore. If I try a proxy it says the Pandora site is having technical difficulties.

Any ideas?

the only way to do it is use proxies, i know under firefox there is a proxy add-on and there are proxy lists out there - although it's just the case of finding one that works

edit - you need to use ip-redirecting proxies rather than WWW proxy.org web-based proxies.

But the Proxy i've tried is somehow making the Pandora site come up with 'technical error'. When I dont use a proxy it doesnt have an issue? Is it some preventative measure the webiste has made so people can't use proxies?

Wouldn't have thought so, is this just with one proxy or have you tried a number of them?

i tried to do this when i was in finland. wanted to watch bbc iplayer, but it said i have to be in uk. it could detect i was redircting through proxies. and wouldnt load. every one i tried
