Great, remember never let them go gently or they'll never learn the error of their ways.

Agreed - I just wish it was before Xmas as she has young kids and I doubt she would of been able to buy them any presents - that would of taught her a lesson!

No she isnt getting laid off, she is getting fired! We are moving that shop and taking on about 7 positions next month...well 8 now. As well as about 4 seamstresses.

She has just been a fucking hassle since we bought the shop in November. She was the only employee to stay on (other two were the owners), and when we put in two people who have worked for us for a while as the managers (both are younger than her) she has just acted like a stupid cow - telling customers certain products are cheap and tacky when they really like them, being rude to customers, etc. etc.

Came to a head on Thursday when she went mental infront of a load of customers, 2 of which have complained. So bye bye.

like your style
In my place thought (NHS) people get away with murder because it's so hard to just fire them, you have to go through the motions and then they just get put into a different department. Piss take!

So do we, but we can class those together as gross misconduct, and she has had prior warnings so shouldnt have a problem.

Yes, although to do the work required you don't need to be academically smart, just have common sense and able to do manual work.
