Considering london is under a good 8 inches of snow, i can't imagine it being the best.

Traffic was steady this morning, don't think it will be too bad unless we have another heavy burst of snow tonight.

shite down here mate, best of staying clear of south east england right now.
airports are in chaos, london buses are all suspended and train lines are fucked.

I liked the quote on the radio this morning
"london airports are open as usual but no planes are taking off or landing"

well they "should" arrive at 21:22 as it says on gatwick airport website...
i would guess by this time hotels would be packed
oh well at least they enjoyed 7 days of +30 degrees weather...

well whatever you do, don't set off for gatwick because the flight is likely to get re-directed to an airport with less snow anyway!

risked it and went to gatwick...
232 miles one way... so 464 miles rountrip. had lots of snow up north, but only for 15-20 minutes....then it calmed down and wasnt snowing for the rest of journey. there was some standing water from lorries etc, but wasnt much traffic...
no closures, no accidents going there, but seen two lorries being "parked" side ways on motorway.

I wouldn't have done it either.
One of our salesman was on the M25 for bloomin' ages yesterday. Although you can spend hours on there without any snow
