i need to change the engine oil in my corsa, after all the old oil is taken out, how much new oil do i put in?? and what oil is it?

thats no good if your car has a lot less oil in it than it should.

Make sure you change oil filter too if you can.

Put about 3 litres in first, run it, switch it off then top it up as necessary.

10/40 semi synthetic. Vaux oil comes reccomended.

The filter unscrews. When you put the new one on make sure you smear some oil on the o ring and clean the mating surface.

Buy yourself a workshop manual and some basic tools, it amazes me when posts like this turn up , but anyway 10/40 or 15/40 oil of semi synth will be fine, oil and filter change will be 3.25ltrs.

I don't use the car much and it seems to burn very little oil, I also change the oil and filter every 12 months.

If you are near me I will do it for you for a small fee, which will save your car.
