What does it matter?

Yes, they will fit on no problem, providing you get the callipers and pad carriers off the doner car, and use the Calibra discs, which are 256 x 24mm.

its a 1.4 8v. the reason i ask is because i am fitting 308mm disc to my 2ltr 16v calibra and at the moment it has black diamond grooved and drilled disc with preditor pads they have plenty of wear lift in them and the corsa brakes are a little tired so i thought i might as well fit the bigger ones to my corsa

I assume from that you mean the 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v Corsa's?

You are correct in that they have the same callipers, and use the same pads - BUT the 1.4 brakes use a 236 x 20mm disc, whereas the 1.6 brakes use a different calliper carrier and a pair of 256 x 20mm discs, so swapping from 1.4 to 1.6 brakes is a worthwhile swap.

That sounds like a fair swap Sam - just make sure you swap the calliper carriers over as well, obviously
