After 5 months of coming out of a full time job, I still havent found new work I am only looking for part time bar work/shop work to help with the pennies while I study in uni. Every place I have been who have said they have positions avaliable have never got back to me. My CV is full of garage experience, I added in my older jobs including tescos and pizza hut but is it right in thinking my garage jobs are possibly making me look too quialified for part time work? I have also fully stated I am on a 3/4 year degree course.

it's possible that it's because you and thousands of others are after the same job. the positions they have may be full time ones.

Yes, I got so many CV's with people with global experience looking for an admin job.

Although impressive and I understand there is a downturn at the moment, I can't help thinking if I employ them, they will leave when something better comes along and I will be a stop gap

Its an absolute pain in the arse I went past dominoes pizza last night and they have a huge sign in the window saying now hiring part and full time so going to give them a try today.

A part time job still on the spanners would be the most handy thing ever tbh
