right a laptop with vista onit and 60 days norton anti virus thingy and keeps coming up with a trojan horse virus. But won't let me delete it and says its requires a manual removal? is this easy to do?

microsoft have tools that can help and also knowledge base detailing what actions you need to take...

Uninstall Norton

Install AVG Free:

http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition

and scan your PC

Norton couldn't find a virus if it was bouncing round your desktop, it's crap. Use AVG or nod32 or Avira desktop.

Mate AVG is going downhill, lets in trojans and gives false positives nowadays. Use Avast instead.

i found that avg was crap on my vista laptop. slowed it down soooo much. almost to the point where it was unusable
