Given all you extensive knowledge can you tell me typically how long it takes for a payment to reach your paypal if somebody is purchasing an item.
A guy said that he made the payment yesterday and i've not seen it yet????

It will be instant. If he has made the payment to your paypal then it will be there now. When transferring it from paypal to your bank account it can take 3-5 days.

Instant, unless its from e-gay then the payment may be held until the buyer leaves you positive feedback.

Instant unless they have sent an E-Cheque they take around 7 days to clear but should state on your paypal account that its been sent as an E-cheque.
