Been workin with CS2 for a few years now, and I just downloaded CS4.
Wow, there are one or two new features. You can even work with, and render 3D objects.
I don't really like it yet, but once i get the hang of it, i'm sure i'll love it.
Just a case of trying to teach an old dog new tricks.

How do you find it runs?
I heard it needs some serious power to run properly.
CS3 extended will do for me at the moment.

I've been using CS4 for a couple of months now.
Haven't really noticed much of a difference TBH, but there are a few nice features added.
As for power, I haven't found it to be much more demanding than CS2, but I've got a fairly powerfull system, so might not notice. Still using CS2 on the laptop though

It seems to run okay with me. I've not really tested it too much to be honest, but i've got a 2.33 ghz processor and 4GB or Ram, so i hope my computer will be able to handle it.

Bugger, I just entered an expired serial for CS4 and now it wont even open.
I'll have to uninstall, reinstall it, and hope it'll let me try again

You don't need to do all that.
What you do need is a firewall in which you can block Photoshop from accessing the internet. With CS4 it's set up so that everytime you open photoshop it connects to Adobe's server which checks that the serial number is valid. If the serial number is not valid then it asks for another so everytime you open it you'll have to put a different serial number in.
As for a firewall, if you haven't already got one that you can set to block programs then I'm using Comodo, free download. Just search on Google
