I went into work today only to be told that the company has collapsed and that we are all out of a Job.
Great!!
Missus is having a baby due in 2 weeks.

a real shitter but a positive that you may not have thought of is that if you get laid off with no notice the government pay you additional money (either your standard weekly wage or £330 per week - which ever is lower) for 12 weeks.
If you get a job within this 12 weeks though the payments stop.
So you have 3 months with pay effectively to get a job, plus a lump sum redundancy payment (if you qualify)

Damn I was theoretically made redundant from my 'bread and butter' role at work so only have minimal marketing stuff to do. I'm only part-time with no responsibilities. Dread to think what it is like when you have loads of commitments in life.

Its a shitter but all I suggest is don't be too choosy, take whatever job you can to keep the money coming in. There are far too many jobseekers out there atm to be choosy.
