ive just recently had top end rebuild on my redtop ie all gaskets headgasket stem seals etc
anyway its all back together and running but on tick over its hunting and theirs like a high pitched whistling/wining seems to be coming from the inlet
anyone had similar problem or and ideas what it could be possibly air leak or something?

thats an air leak mate definatly, that will cause the idle to be evrywer really

cheers mate you reckon its an airleak causing the wining idles not real bad just hunts abit its the noise im more concerned with tbh

i agree with ant sounds like a inlet leak around the manifold

yer mate i had an air leak on a sport engine and it wuz idleing high, high pitch noise just like ur sayin
