Hi all,
this is pete, Buftons brother. we're both doing an engine converion on his 1.2 16v B as one big end is gone, head gasket is shot and piston rings are ming'd,. so far the engine is in, the loom is in and the ecu connected. But when I fit the battery, everything is still dead 
There are a lot of unused connectors in my where the old ecu plugs in, and also quite a few in the engine bay, which fitted the 1.2 16v engine.
Now, i did a couple of 1600 engine transplants on an old 1.2 8valve i used to have, and the engines and wiring seemed to drop in, no worries. Why is this one so different? its out of an M reg tigra...

Have you used the 1.4 engine loom or tried to use the 1.2 loom on the 1.4?

It looks like the whole wiring loom of the car needs to come out to me because theres two sets of looms arent there? One for the heaters ect, and the other thats wired to the engine, and back to the ecu, and battery.
These are all wired and plugged in, yet theres still a stack of plugs on the car loom which dont plug in anywhere
