Currently have a student account/student overdraft with Natwest.
Not reduced my overdraft over the last couple of months, but for some reason theyve stopped charging me a couple of quid a months interest on the overdraft amount.
Not that I'm complaining, but does anyone know why this is?

The shouldn't be charged if you are in your overdraft at all with the student account? I have had the student account for years and pretty much live in the overdraft, just because its free to do so

Student overdraft is down to() 1700 or summit with about 500 quid available in the account.
Still active as I still transfer things out and about

I had a student current account with Natwest and never paid a penny in interest until the last few months... I think after a certain period of time your student account status expires and you are moved onto a normal current account...

Natwest have a tiered student overdraft.
The interest free amount gradually decreases until it eventually becomes zero (3 years after graduating IIRC).
