Ive been having a look on the regal website and superchips and it says 4-8 bhp increase. How do these chips acheive this and is it the same as rasing the rev limiter? Also where do these chips go is it in the ecu?

they go on the ecu n I believe they alter air fuel and spark to make the engine fun leaner

I'd guess it's done by advancing or retarding the timing.

Why would you want to make the engine run leaner?
The chips alter the fuel and ignition maps. Only get a real benefit if you have changed camshaft.
