My laptop is full of crap & now works at a snails pace in comparison to when I first bought it. If I keep everything on an external drive then I'm hoping it might speed it up a bit?
Don't need anything silly sized, few hundred gig will do the trick
Good makes? Good places to buy from? Recommendations etc

Anything western digital.
Play.com, Ebuyer, Aria.co.uk.
Full hard drives aren't usually the cause of slow PCs though...

Western Digital MyBook or Buffalo are pretty good. Ebuyer normally, although Amazon have the odd good deal on too
