Anyone else had problems with the c20xe's drinking oil ?

It's either leaking from gaskets, breathers are blocked, or piston rings are knacked.

or valve seals are shot

Get a mate to follow you ( or try to ) when you're driving hard to check if you're chucking blue smoke out the back end.

If it smoke on startup it'll be stem seals.

Smoking when driving hard will be rings.

Smoking when going round corners hard or on over run may just be the breater chucking oil into the inlet. There's a mod you can do to the rocker cover.

yeh thats what i would have though was just wondering if it was common on them lol
its only drinking it when its really hot and im giving it absolute beans haha

Possibly worth looking at getting a better oil then? Your current one might be getting too hot

oil cooler maybe? I tried halfords 10W/40 oil think may go for some better stuff .. haha

Just use crude oil, nice and thick. Be reet

put GM 10/40 semi synthetic in, this is the only oil to use in an xe

The yellow-ish pipe runs to the think breather on rocker cover. Blank it off at the inlet.
