Tools > Options > Messages > Message History and it will say where it is saved if the option has been ticked

when you open a window to talk to someone it has the last few things that you said as well and then a link to all the convos you have had. if the option is enabled

Unless you use MsgPlus, in which case they'd be saved at:
C:\Users\USER_ID\Documents\My Chat Logs
