Hi
I got a mate who is a sprayer by trade to paint my morettes to look the same as the factory bumpers and arches afew years ago. He did a fantastic job and it's still lasting well. The problem is I want to do afew small bits the same, boot lock etc, but don't want to have to go to a garage to get em done. My mate has left the country so I'm wondering is it possible to create the "mottle" look with spray cans at home??
Cheers for the help

That doesn't really give the bumpy/knobbly/perferated or whatever you wanna call it look though... Maybe if I spray it badly

If you have all the gear just buy standard gloss black and add a matting agent and a tiny bit of white.

but the bootlock has already got the textured effect..
why not just get an unpainted bootlock? as theres loadsssss about
or just spray a unpainted boot lock matt black, texture will still show through..
you have to add those adgents etc if there is no texture to start with, thats why i didnt say

You can buy textured spray in a rattle can, it comes in different grades, we have it where i work for when bumpers need re-texturing due to scuffs etc... when we repair over replace...
I will find out what its called tomorrow and let you know.

Right the stuff you need is called-
Brand - U-POL
Its called - PLASTX ( I think, it just says Plast with a Massive x behind it.
And it says Plastic repair underneath,, You pick it up in different grades, from 1 - 5 ( fine to more coarse)
Hope this was some help
