Was on the A1(M) went to overtake a truck and noticed something in the road (i think it was a lump of wood) Braked hard and hit it at about 45-55mph.

I pulled onto the hard shoulder behind someone else who had hit it (i thought id been lucky - he had a flat tyre i didnt) couldnt see any damage to the car so went home.

this morning i found the front drivers side tyre completely flat and the bumper and foglight mullered

need a new bumper, new foglight, new splitter

and need to get my 4 month old rainsport 2 checked over as its completely flat - im hoping its gonna be repairable cos i dont want to buy a new tyre - still havent payed for the backs yet!

gutted for you mate but it could have been a lot worse if you had hit that at 70mph.

i think im lucky it was raining at the time as i was only cruising at about 60 rather than my usual 70

Fixed! got a new bumper complete with irmscher splitter from the scrapyard!




its in need of a bit of a tidy up though
