I really fancy a netbook for when I go to Germany and a few other geeks things, are there any users of it here?
So far from what I've read everyone has gone for a 2GB upgrade, according to crucial UK that will cost £20 which is nice. Sadly it only comes with Windows XP but there seems to be alot of work done with the Unbuntu linux operating system with only a few bugs

Have had a mess about on one a fair amount, and only downside for me is the size of the keyboard, takes me an age to type everything unless I want it to look like Robbo typed it.

apparently the keyboard is better sized then the EEE PC, but the touchpad is rather small.

Havent used an Eee PC so cant compare.
Its nothing you couldnt get used to with enough use I guess, but it is a fairly tight size even when compared to a standard laptop.

I've got one.
Yes you can upgrade the RAM. Haven't done so yet though.
Not much to say about it really. Its a small laptop as far as i'm concerned. XP runs quite fast on it, boot up takes seconds.
Only problem I have with it, is that it is failry heavy comparing with the others. And the blue or white one looks homo. I bought a black one.

I have a white one (it does not look Homo). Not gone for the RAM upgrade yet but will be shortly.
Can't fault it really the keyboard is a good size. Only downside is the touchpad and screen size means you need to scroll a lot...but lets face it you should expect that from a laptop of this size.
I definately would recommend it.

Its the same standard spec as the Samsung, but £30 more
I've used the eee pc, the msi equivalent (forget the name) and the samsung as well as a few others. Samsung is best at what it does, however its incomparable to the eee as they have different requirements.
Well worth it Will, seen them for about £295 with 2Gb, bargain

Be sure to get a large memory stick or an external drive if you want to load stuff on to it...
Or just download....

They are quite cool - bit pricey though (IMO).
They a couple of normal netbooks and an ultra slim one.
If you keep an eye on HotUKDeals they often appear on there at a good price.

all the same thing really aint they just paying for brand other than that really, well aestetic differences aswell but thats down to personal taste.

I have an NC10, awesome little machine and not that bogged down with apps you'll never need or use. It does come with Mcafee and some Smasung update software but they are easily removed.

Ive got one and use it every day in college and incidentally right now!
So handy.. And if you use it a lot you get used to the keyboard size really quickly. I can touch type quite comfortably using it.
Ive even got a portable version of photoshop cs3 on here for the odd image resize and croppage and it runs pretty smoothly
Edit: Also.. The battery life is fucking incredible.
