What what bit of your kit do you regard as essential? Obviously a camera is kind of essential but accessories wise....

Id go with my battery grip. I used a standard 400D today and it just felt so wrong, especially when shooting portrait!

My 300mm L lens. Its an awesome bit of kit and my motorsport photos wouldn't be nearly as good with a lesser lens.

Second would be the battery grip.
