Car drives fine really but seems to idle a bit rough.
Now there is NO EML ON so im guessing all the sensors are ok but it seems to idle a bit lower than normal say about 700 / 800rpm and sometimes it moves up and down (nothing major like but if you look really close you can see the needle jumps up and down a few millimeters now and again)
So basicly no eml does that mean no sensors are gone?
It had new plugs and leads 2 weeks ago too and an oil and filter change.
EDIT its an x16xe corsa sport btw

Ive had the same problem, needle hardly moves on the rev counter but you can feel the little jolts. Have had it with both x16xe engines ive had as soon as i put an exhaust on them
Ive just got used to it now........
Air leaks usually caused eratic idling and sometimes stalling doesnt it?

Idle Speed control valave. Fault code: P0505. i think
Just because the EML is not on does not mean al lthe sensors are ok.
Try unplug the Idle Speed control valave while car is running see if it drops in revs.

Yeh if it drops makes a diffrance then you know its not that i.e its working properly. if its not working it wont make a dif.
Process of ilimination.
They are located in dif places on dif cars. what you drivein?
Its usually around the inlet. google it.

Ive got a split /crack in the exhaust somewhere in the middle section think its at the back of the middle box as you can hear it blowing on idle.
That wouldnt affect the idle would it?

Doubt it very much.
Unless this has sent your Lamba sensor crazy.
That may not be helping

no your exhaust will just blow, do as said above check for air leaks around the inlet throttle body area, check the mass air flow meter by restricting it with selotape, then try the throttle position sensor unplug it and see theres any change then do idle control valve, trial and error mate im having same proplems with my xe

Thanks
how do you restrict the mass air flow meter with celotape? unplug the sensor and cover hole then see if anything changes?

dont totally cover it jus restrict the size of it go around the outside of it say it has a 3" diamater restrict it to 1.5" diamater to see if theres any difference
