Hold shift and then the New Playlist button will change to Smart Playlist, there's loads of settings for it so you should be able to get it to put together the recetnly played songs.

Yeah, new Smart playlist with the following options:
"Last Played" "Is in the last" "2 weeks"
and
"Podcast" "is false"
