Need some help with setting up XE Power Steering on a late type Corsa Sport.
We've taken the lump out of the Calibra complete with the Power Steering, alternator, wide belt etc. Will it fit straight into a Corsa with the Calibra Power Steering pump?
People that have done it, do you use the Power Steering Fluid pots from the Corsa?
The car is a V Reg 1.6 Sport and the lump is from a K Reg Calibra.
Any related pics/vids/stories are appreciated. And were not considering EPAS or not having PAS.
Cheers,

Cheers.
We've got the conversion bracket. Can we use the pump and everything from the Calibra XE or do we need to attach one from a cavalier or something silly to get it to fit?

Pretty sure the original pump for the engine is used but there are conversion PAS mounts so you may have to use one of them?

Yeah. Not the blue one though fro . Got a black one.
So I can just drop in the lump as it came out the Calibra and use the conversion PAS mount?
How is it piped up? using the Corsa sport pipes and filling pot?

Definately used the sport reservoir and pretty sure the pipes were the standard ones. Just try and keep the one that runs behind the rad away from the exhaust mani as it ill burn through it and spray PAS fluid everywhere when it does!

Phil,
Wanna pop round mine and have a butchers at my setup?
*edit* Just realised this is going on a widebelt setup...might be some differences.
You would still use a Corsa PAS fluid reservoir, and preferably the PAS pipework from another Corsa with PAS as it has the correct fixings and shape etc.

you may have a problem with the alternator pully being so close to the chassis leg if you have the wide belt type. alot of people change pullys to the early v shape ones. or put in elec power steering unit which gives you more bhp

the pipes are the sameyuo just have to manouvre em a bit and cut 2 inch oof the rubber low pressure return, the best option is to convert to v-belt setup wit a double v-bottom pulley (ive got a spare for sale...lol) a v type alternator and baracket, and v type PAS pump using the baracket...then go to motor factors and find a belt (measure it with string and take it with you)...ive just done this on mine... i put a late type (multi rib belted-originally)redtop in my v-reg corsa sport...works brill

mine uses the xe pump and bracket, but it's got the single v tpye pulleys, and im using the original corsa p/s resevoir,i had to cut the pipes down as they were too long but rather than cut the rubber part and risk getting leakes i cut the metal parts and joined them with pressure joints and olives (not sure if they are the correct name for them) from homebase, worked a treat.

Good Advice there!
I have a multi v bottom pulley on my Corsa.
What car would a V-Pulley PAS pump come from? Any chance of some pics of your setup?
Also, can the engine be mounted and then you add the power steering?
