Finally got myself a nikon 70-300vr, so thought i'd go try it out :woot:
most of the photo's are noisy, that's my fault for leaving it on auto iso :bang:
still need load's more practice, as these are not that great, think this is the 3rd/4th time trying now

Number 6 is easily the best.
My comments, if I were being harsh, would be:
No.1 looks like it is parked
2 is a good idea if you can keep the pan steady, but you haven't quite got it
4 looks a bit 'wrong' - not sure what it is, but not quite right.
5 is cropped too tight - not sure if you can fix that on the computer, of if thats how you took it....
What lens did you use? Definately got some potential, just needs a bit more practise

Might be, because it was parked up

Oh I just figured you'd done the usual trick of shutter speed so high it looks like its stopped......which it is
Have you tried shooting off a monopod? I found mine really good - increases the number of really good pans a hell of a lot for me

might buy one, they are fairly cheap, so if i dont like it, nothing lost really
from what i've read it can make it harder, so everyone's different i guess - best to try and see
